Superfine calcium supplement without vitamin D. This product is optimally suited for species kept in outdoor terrariums and thus exposed to natural UVB radiation
Item number RK1741
INFORMATION: Our calcium carbonate is mined in the Mojave Desert in California, where it was formed over 300 million years ago during the Carboniferous period from the dead marine life that sank to the sea floor. The calcium carbonate was formed under optimal conditions in a shallow water environment and was precipitated from the primordial ocean. The deposits were then further purified and transformed by various geological processes and the effects of high pressure and temperature. These sediments are an exceptionally pure source of natural calcium carbonate, making them a unique raw material for food and pharmaceutical applications. The mine is certified by the American Food and Drug Administration. The calcium we use is very fine with an average size of 3.5 microns, making it the finest calcium available on the market. This gives the exceptional adhesion when the feed insects are dusted with SUPERCAL HYD.
USE INSTRUCTIONS: SUPERCAL NOD should be the product of choice if you keep your pets in open-air terrariums and the pets are exposed to natural UVB radiation. For animals with low vitamin D requirements we recommend the use of Repashy's SUPERCAL LOD and for therapeutic applications or sensitive species with high UVB requirements we recommend the use of Repashy's SUPERCAL HYD. For animals with average UVB requirements we recommend SUPERCAL MED. The easiest way to dust feed insects with SUPERCAL NOD is in empty cricket tins or plastic bags. To enhance fresh fruit or vegetables with SUPERCAL NOD, use one level teaspoon per 500g. To maintain a balance of essential vitamins, use Repashy's SUPERVITE in a 1:1 ratio with SUPERCAL NOD. For an "all-in-one" supply of your pets we recommend Repashy's CALCIUM PLUS.
