Zoo Med Repti Basking Spot lamps are among the most effective and powerful spotlights for terrariums. This is due to the fact that this ingenious terrarium lamp is particularly energy-efficient thanks to a sophisticated double reflector. Zoo Med Repti Basking Spot lamps bring light and heat to where it is needed in the terrarium, minimizing loss. All reptiles and amphibians with a particularly high need for light and heat can be perfectly supplied with Zoo Med Repti Basking Spot lamps - including bearded dragons, green iguanas, chameleons and many other terrarium animals. And: Zoo Med Repti Basking Spot lamps bring a plus in light and heat of more than 35 % with identical consumption values - an impressive performance. Also impressive is the lifetime of the Zoo Med Repti Basking Spot lamps. If handled properly, these terrarium lamps can easily operate for up to 2000 (!) hours! Zoo Med Repti Basking Spot lamps not only provide the best light in the terrarium - they also heat the terrarium and are therefore an additional heating element.
Zoo Med Repti Basking Spot Lamps are available in different power levels. The "King Class" embodies the Zoo Med Repti Basking Spot Lamp with 250 Watt, with which even in larger terrariums plenty of light and heat can be generated. If you use the 250 watt version of the Zoo Med Repti Basking Spot lamp, you must follow certain safety precautions to prevent damage to your terrarium subjects: Never use the Zoo Med Repti Basking Spot 250 Watt without a lamp guard or a protective basket so that your reptiles can never come into contact with the terrarium lamp! Only use ceramic lampholders and never a metal lampholder or plastic lampholder! These sockets cannot withstand the high temperatures and can melt - a risk you must not take! Important: ALWAYS use the 250 Watt version of the Zoo Med Repti Basking Spot lamp at a minimum distance of 46 cm from the terrarium animals - if you cannot ensure this distance in your terrarium, make sure you use a smaller wattage.
