Many terrarians know the problem very well. A wet terrarium can very quickly become a very muddy and unclean affair. Mould formation and polluted water are already pre-programmed and healthy husbandry conditions for reptiles and amphibians are hardly possible. The solution here is drainage. So a special clay substrate like the Exo Terra Biodrain terrarium substrate, which lies under the normal decoration substrate. However, this only makes sense if these two substrate layers can be cleanly separated from each other in the terrarium. And this is where the special Exo Terra Biodrain terrarium mat comes in. In combination with the Exo Terra Biodrain terrarium substrate, the Exo Terra Biodrain terrarium fabric mat forms a perfect duo and ensures optimum drainage. Easily installed and suitable for all types of wet terrariums - e.g. rain forest terrariums or aqua terrariums that require particularly effective drainage. With the Exo Terra Biodrain terrarium fabric mat you can also create a watercourse in the terrarium and provide perfect drainage possibilities. The water remains clean because the upper substrate layer cannot penetrate through the fine meshes of the Exo Terra Biodrain terrarium fabric mat into the lower clay layer.
